Charity
3.1 The Objects of the Charity are to carry on for the benefit of the community
3.1.1 To advance the education of the public in the subject of Secularism
3.1.2 To further or benefit the residents of Leicester and Leicestershire, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or religious or other affiliations by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education without reference to any transcendental or supernatural concepts and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents and promoting an inclusive and plural society free from religious privilege prejudice and discrimination.
To secure and conserve Leicester Secular Hall at 75 Humberstone Gate, Leicester LE1 1WB and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance conservation and management of such a centre in furtherance of the above object.

3. OBJECTS The objects of the Company are: -
3.1 To campaign for the separation of state and religion and against
religious privilege.
3.2 To promote the rights of freedom of belief and expression for all
those who accord the same rights to others.
3.3 To promote rational enquiry in all fields of knowledge based on the
conviction that there are no gods or any other supernatural entities.
3.4 To work for the elimination of human misery, injustice, poverty and
ignorance in the world.
3.5 To promote social values, rules and laws centred on long-term human
welfare so as to achieve an integrated civil society that guarantees equal human
rights and worth to all.
3.6 To oppose any structures, obstructions or pressures that interfere with the
above, whether deriving from the state, religion or any other source and to
work with others to do so where appropriate.
3.7 To conserve the Society's heritage and to encourage more
individuals to be involved in its conservation.
3.8 To provide information, education and training related to all the above for
members and public, for schools, and for any other body.
3.9 To provide social and entertainment events for members and public.
3.10 To acquire or continue to hold with or without valuable consideration any
legal and equitable estate or interest in land, any personal property and any rights,
actions or privileges which the Company may think necessary for the promotion of
its objects and to erect, build, manufacture, improve, manage, construct, repair,
